This session is a more structured experience and is only available to children currently attending the Pre-school and who will be starting Reception class the following Autumn.
Our fees are currently:

In line with the guidance, we will continue to offer funded childcare hours but will request families pay a voluntary consumable charge of £3.90 per session.
Our voluntary consumable charge is comprised of the following:
Sustenance – 90p
Seasonal clothing and protection – 60p
Outdoor enrichment activities – £2.40
Should you choose not to pay any or part of the voluntary contribution, it is our expectation that you will supply alternative consumables and outdoor wear. These must be consistent with what the setting provides. Please note your child will not be able to take part in any of the outdoor enrichment activities.
Funded Children
We are registered with Ofsted and therefore claim the Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE). This is available to children from the term after, the term in which they have their 3rd birthday. This entitlement offers a maximum of fifteen free hours a week over 38 weeks a year, you can claim the total of these hours across two settings. We are able to offer the extended offer as well as funded places to eligible 2 year olds.
To claim these hours at the start of each funding period you will need to complete a Parental Agreement. On your first claim you will need to provide your children’s Birth Certificate or Passport.
Typical session
- We operate rolling snacks from 9am – 10:45am and then again for 30 minutes within the afternoon session. Children are offered a variety of fruit, vegetables and carbohydrates.
- Story time, circle time and singing
- Free play (inside and outside)
- Outdoor enrichment activity
- Visits to the local community
The setting is set up to support child – initiated activities, with no emphasis on an ‘end product’. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). It is a comprehensive statutory framework that sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to five. It covers three prime areas of learning and four specific areas of learning these are listed below with some examples of activities which encourage development within these area.
